Rated 5 out of 5 by Allan from Worked great These worked perfectly, I needed to do some repairs to my deck steps. Date published: Rated 1 out of 5 by Handyman from Very disappointing Bought 3 pieces yesterday one shaped little different does not match, the other two were warped, so I can't build my stairs and can't return right now.

out of 5 stars Does not give a good enough stretch compared to a knee kicker on Would have been helpful if it could be adjusted to suit smaller tread stairs as we have in the UK also could have been wider length wise so I can stretch more of the tread and I had problems screwing in the handle as the thread was damaged so not great build Reviews: 2.

The stair plan below shows the normal stair stringer locations and size as C12x, which is a C channel that is 12 inches deep that weighs pounds per foot. Other structural steel channel sizes used are C10x20 and MC12x31 but there is no limit as to what type of steel sections to be used, even wide flange beam commonly known as I beam can.

The Penrose stairs or Penrose steps, also dubbed the impossible staircase, is an impossible object created by Lionel Penrose and his son Roger Penrose. A variation on the Penrose triangle, it is a two-dimensional depiction of a staircase in which the stairs make four degree turns as they ascend or descend yet form a continuous loop, so that a person could climb them forever and never get.
